A MAN who was verbally bullied by his ex-girlfriend becomes a successful fitness model and bags himself a hot new girlfriend.
Tipping the scales at 16st, Greg Robert was miserable with his body. To make matters worse, his ex-girlfriend would taunt him about his weight and cruelly compare him to other men she’d been with.
“I was 22. It was a nasty break up. She would always let me know how fat I was,” he said. “Saying things like ‘you should see the other guys I have been with’. Just the standard horrible things to get someone to feel hurt.”
“Her comments cut me deep. I felt so insecure and so rubbish about myself and how I looked.”
At university he would gorge on junk food like “pizzas, burgers, BKs and Maccys” and struggled to control his weight.
“I hated sitting down with my belly splurging out,” he said.

HOT: The 24-year-old has turned his life around and become a successful fitness model
But now 24, Greg has turned his life around and become a successful fitness model. His former beer belly has been replaced with a ripping six-pack and bulging biceps.
His weight now fluctuates between a healthy 11-12st throughout the year and his body is only around 10% body fat.
Greg, who splits his time between Sussex and Surrey, said: “I really wasn’t happy. I just thought, why not actually try. Not half-heartedly, but really go for it.
“I stopped going out – which was hard at uni – or if I did I wouldn’t drink. Gym was my goal.
“I have always loved bodybuilding, but I don’t have the frame to be a mass monster. I saw fitness modelling and was hooked.”

FIT: He follows a high-fat, low-carbs diet and trains five times a week
And in just one year, he went from flabby to fitness model.
“I started looking into macro counting,” he said. “I made myself go to the gym everyday for a month before I let myself have a day off. Just to get the routine going.”
“I love super sets. I think even if you want to go heavy, you can super set it. Bench, deadlifts, bent over rows. And all arm exercises.”
He also curbed his bad eating habits and now sticks to a higher-fat, low-carb eating plan consisting of steak, chicken, vegetables, eggs and low-fat cheese.
But even now, Greg, who works in recruitment and as a personal trainer, isn’t completely happy with his physique.

LOVE: Greg has been seeing his new girlfriend Rosie for one year
“I don’t think I will be ever be satisfied. I’m blessed for what I have but if I say I’m happy will I continue to work hard on it? I don’t think so,” he said.
“My favourite thing about my body is my lats and biceps. They just seem to switch on straight away when I work out and the pump is awesome.”
“My least favourite is my traps and chest. I struggle to bulk them out,” he added.
Greg has now been dating 23-year-old student nurse Rosie Alice for a year and she’s a big fan of his new super-ripped body. “She really loves my big arms,” he added.
GREG’S DIET
My typical diet consists of:
BREAKFAST: Protein porridge and blueberries.
LUNCH: I will have either chicken breast and a light cream cheese with 2 slices of whole grain bread.
SNACKS: Banana and satsuma
DINNER: Steak with loads of veg. I like green leafy veg, carrots.
SNACKS: Protein shake and blueberries
CHEAT MEALS: Pizza or chicken wings. I love spicey food so if I got for a beer and a curry (vindaloo) with my mates then even better.
