A WOMAN who was too fat for her size-26 Father Christmas costume has shed a whopping 9st.
At her heaviest, Roisin Curran tipped the scales and 19st 7lb and struggled to fit into anything.
Last Christmas, the obese 30-year-old was forced to cut through the elastic of a giant Santa costume so she could squeeze her size 26 frame into it.
Roisin said: “I was horrified when I couldn’t fit into my costume, I was fatter than Santa.
“I could either turn up to the Christmas party in normal clothes or cut the elastic from the outfit and squeeze myself in.
“After the embarrassment of all of that I saw the pictures and I looked huge, it was a real eye-opener.”
But this year it’s a totally different story for the inspirational super-slimmer.
After shedding an impressive 9st, Roisin, from County Down, will be showing off her new figure in a slinky elf costume.

BAD SANTA: Last Christmas, the 30-year-old had to cut her Santa outfit to squeeze her size 26 frame into it
Roisin, who has struggled with her weight her whole life, beat the bulge by making one simple lifestyle change.
The newly-svelte brunette ditched her excessive 4,000 calories-per-day diet and joined Slimming World.
She now weighs a healthy 10st and can flaunt her physique in sexy size-10 dresses.
“I had been overweight for my whole life and for a good while resigned to the belief that I’d be fat forever,” she said. “Before I’d gorge on sugary snacks in between my meals and was always eating double portions.
“I’d even get out of breath from just walking up the stairs,” she added. “It used to worry me when I would think about how my weight would lead me to die early – I was always worried that I’d have a heart attack.”
Roisin had been overweight since she was a child, when she would wear size 18 clothing at the age of 15.
Despite attempts to replace her sugary snacks of two chocolate bars and five cans of Coca-Cola a day with fruit, she struggled to stick to diets.
She’s lost 3.5st after spending three months on her Slimming World plan and already people were starting to notice how different she looked.

HAPPY: This year Roisin is dressing up as a sexy elf
Rosin said: “It felt incredible I was still eating meals that left me feeling full but I was losing a lot of weight.
“After losing two stone people started to notice how much slimmer I was and then my closes started to bury me.
“I’d never needed a belt in my life until then and felt so much more confident.”
After a year, Roisin had lost 5.5st and now she’s down to an impressive 9st after combining portion control with gym sessions.
Since her weight loss she’s even go back to university to start a degree in nursing after worrying her weight would stop her.
She said: “Before I used to think I was too fat to be a nurse, I worried patients wouldn’t take me seriously when talking about health implications.
“But now that I’ve lost nine stone I feel like a real role model and can’t wait to follow my dream.
“Now when I look back at the old picture of me dressed as Mrs Clause I laugh – I’ll never go back now that I’ve lost all this weight.
“This year I can fit into Christmas costumes, I’m dressing as an elf and look thinner than ever.”

WINNER: Roisin is thrilled with her new body and can’t wait to show it off
Roisin’s Slimming World Consultant, Leanne McLaughlin, 35, said: “Roisin’s done amazingly well with her weight loss and has turned her life around so much that she’s now living life to the full.
“She’s a great pillar of support to all of the members of the group and everyone out there reading about Roisin’s achievements and looking to lose weight is sure to see what an inspiration she is.”
And Roisin hopes to make a slightly better impression at this year’s Christmas bash.
“Since losing nine stone I feel incredible – I look great and am getting loads of male attention,” added Roisin. “This year I won’t be suffering the same Christmas party embarrassment as I’ll be going as a slim, sexy elf.”
